When I Reflect About My Collegial, Professional Learning Community

Three downfalls of being apart of the professional learning community are:

1. The lack parental involvement that is sometimes present.
2. Misrepresentation of student's true needs.
3. The lack of funding needed to properly ensure that individual needs are met.

One goal that I have created is:

I want to effectively and efficiently represent the children and their families in the field of early childhood education, and I will provide the best information and resources that I can to make their development successful.

  1. Hi Jasmine,
It is so important for children to be properly represented. I have found in this field that when early childhood professionals are fully invested and have a genuine overall goal to support children and their families, most times it results in success on all ends :)

  2. Hi Jasmine
Head Start has helped many to understand that early childhood education has a lasting value. It is very important that there are individuals in the field who can collaborate and work with children and families to ensure that the best decision is being made for each individual child. Early childhood does set the foundation for the rest of a child’s life because as educators we understand that early childhood is the most important part of a child’s life. I enjoyed, the best of luck!

  3. Hi Jasmine,
Your goal of advocating for children and families in the early childhood field is one that we all desire. In having professionals in their corner, children and families can achieve the type of success that we expect.
